Police say a body found in a wall at Yale University is likely that of missing graduate student Annie Le. The remains were found in the Amistad Building, the building Le was seen entering on Tuesday night before she disappeared. Le, 24, was supposed to be getting married today, CNN.
In U.S. Open news, Kim Clijsters defeated Caroline Wozniacki 7-5, 6-3 for the women’s championship title. Serena Williams has been fined $10,000 after a tirade last night that cost her the match against Clijsters.
For men’s semifinals, Juan Martin del Potro defeated Rafael Nadal today 6-2, 6-2, 6-2, Nadael’s worst defeat in a major tournament. The world’s number one player Roger Federer beat Novak Djokovic 7-6, 7-5, 7-5. Federer, who is going for his sixth straight U.S. Open title, and del Potro will play for the championship tomorrow, New York Times.
