The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting UGA professor George Zinkhan’s jeep has been found in northwestern Clarke County (which contains the city of Athens). There is no sign of Zinkhan and authorities say they believe the murder was more calculated than previously thought, AJC.
UGA sent out this e-mail to the university community:
“This is a message from the UGA Alert emergency notification system. Overnight in northwestern Clarke County, Athens-Clarke Police located the vehicle belonging to George Zinkhan, the former UGA professor wanted in the killing of three people.
Until he is located by police, as stated previously, please continue to use caution. Do not call 911 or the UGA Police unless there is an emergency or you have sighted George Zinkhan.”
